5G Networks
Private 5G and fixed-wireless connectivity for warehouses, yards, campuses and high-mobility environments where Wi-Fi coverage, handoff or interference has hit its limits.
The problem this solves
Private cellular is powerful but easy to over-buy. Spectrum options, core placement, device compatibility and integration with the existing LAN all have to be solved before a single radio is mounted. This engagement starts with the use case, proves it in a pilot area, and then scales.
Who it is for
- Warehouses, distribution centres and yards with mobile equipment, scanners or robots
- Campuses and industrial sites that need wide-area outdoor coverage
- Operations where Wi-Fi roaming and interference cause dropped sessions
- Sites that need fixed-wireless links between buildings where trenching is impractical
Not the right fit if
- You need better cell signal for a small office (a booster or carrier solution is cheaper)
- You have no clear use case beyond 'faster wireless'
What is included — scope of work
Use-case & device assessment
Which devices, applications and mobility patterns the network must support, and whether those devices support the bands available to you.
Spectrum & architecture
Shared, licensed or unlicensed spectrum options (such as CBRS in the US), core placement (on-site or hosted), and integration with your LAN and security policies.
RF design
Predictive coverage modelling, radio placement and capacity planning, validated with an on-site survey.
Pilot deployment
A defined pilot zone deployed and tested with your real devices and applications before full rollout.
Full rollout support
Radio installation coordination, SIM/eSIM provisioning, policy configuration and acceptance testing.
Operations handoff
Monitoring dashboards, runbooks and a support model for the network after go-live.
Deliverables
- Use-case and device compatibility report
- Spectrum and architecture recommendation
- RF design with coverage maps
- Pilot test plan and results
- Configured core, radios and device policies
- Acceptance test report
- Operations runbook and handoff session

What affects the price
The $35,000 fee covers assessment, design, pilot and rollout engineering for one site. Radios, core licences, SIMs, spectrum access fees and mounting/construction work are hardware and third-party costs billed separately. If the pilot shows private 5G is not the right fit, we tell you before you buy the full radio footprint. See all Network & Infrastructure Services.
Frequently asked questions
Is private 5G always better than Wi-Fi?
No. Modern Wi-Fi is the right answer for many indoor offices. Private 5G earns its cost in large, outdoor or high-mobility sites. The assessment phase exists to answer that question honestly.
Do my devices support private 5G?
Many rugged scanners, gateways and robots do; many laptops and phones support only some bands. We check every device class before design.
Do I need to buy spectrum?
Not necessarily. Depending on your location there may be shared or unlicensed options. We lay out the trade-offs.
Do you have reference deployments I can visit?
Gridwise is a newly launched practice and does not publish client references. The pilot phase is designed so you can verify performance yourself before full rollout.
What happens after go-live?
You can operate the network internally using our runbooks, or add Data Network Services for monitoring and support.

What we need from you
- A named technical contact with authority to approve changes
- Current network diagrams, device inventory or whatever documentation exists, however incomplete
- Read-only access to network devices and monitoring tools during discovery
- Carrier and circuit contract details, including renewal dates
- Agreed change windows for any work that touches production
How Gridwise works
Written scope before work starts. Every engagement begins with a written scope, deliverables list and fixed price or monthly fee. Nothing is billed outside that scope without your written approval.
Vendor-neutral advice. Gridwise does not take commissions from hardware, carrier, cloud or software vendors, so recommendations follow your requirements rather than a sales target.
You own the outputs. Designs, configurations, documentation and code produced for you are yours to keep and use with any provider.
Honest about where we are. Gridwise Technology is a newly launched practice. We do not publish testimonials, client logos or case studies, and we will not invent them. What we offer instead is a clear process, written acceptance criteria and documented results for your own environment.
What happens after you apply
Your application goes straight to the Gridwise team, not to a sales queue. Within one business day we reply by email with either a short list of clarifying questions or a proposal for a scoping conversation. If the engagement looks like a fit, we send a written scope that lists the work, the deliverables, the timeline, the fixed price or monthly fee, and the assumptions it depends on. Nothing starts and nothing is billed until you have reviewed and approved that document. If we are not the right partner for what you need, we will say so plainly and, where we can, point you toward a better option.
