Data Platform Implementation

A modern data platform implemented end to end: ingestion, warehouse or lakehouse, transformation, governance and the first set of trusted dashboards, built so your team can extend it without us.

The problem this solves

Data platform projects usually stall on the unglamorous parts: messy source data, unclear ownership, transformations nobody can read, and dashboards that disagree with finance. We implement the platform with governance and testing built in, and we start with the questions the business actually needs answered.

Who it is for

  • Organizations whose reporting lives in spreadsheets exported from five systems
  • Teams that have outgrown a single reporting database
  • Leadership that wants one trusted set of numbers
  • Companies that completed the Data Warehouse Readiness Checklist and scored themselves ready

Not the right fit if

  • You only need one dashboard on a single data source
  • You have no owner for data on the business side yet

What is included — scope of work

Requirements & data model

The business questions, metrics definitions and a dimensional or domain model that answers them.

Ingestion

Connectors and pipelines for the agreed source systems, with scheduling and monitoring.

Warehouse / lakehouse

Platform setup on your chosen technology, with environments, access control and cost guardrails.

Transformation layer

Version-controlled, tested transformations with documentation generated from code.

Governance & quality

Data ownership, access policies, data-quality tests and lineage.

First dashboards

An initial set of dashboards on agreed metrics, validated against source systems.

Deliverables

  • Metrics definitions and data model
  • Configured ingestion pipelines
  • Warehouse or lakehouse environment
  • Tested transformation codebase
  • Data quality tests and governance policy
  • Initial validated dashboards
  • Documentation and team training

How it works

  1. Define

Business questions, metrics and source systems.
  2. Build foundations

    Platform, environments, access and ingestion.
  3. Model

    Transformations and tests.
  4. Deliver

    Dashboards validated with business owners.
  5. Enable

    Documentation, training and handoff.

What the $35,000 covers

Implementation for up to six source systems and an initial set of up to ten dashboards on one platform. Platform subscription, connector licences and cloud compute are billed by those vendors. Additional sources or dashboards are scoped and quoted before work starts.

Frequently asked questions

Which platforms do you implement?

Common choices include Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Redshift and Microsoft Fabric. We recommend based on your data, skills and budget.

Do we need a data team?

You need at least one owner on the business side and someone technical to maintain it. Training is included.

How do you make sure the numbers are right?

Every dashboard metric is reconciled against its source system and signed off by its business owner.

Can I see previous implementations?

Gridwise is a newly launched practice and does not publish case studies. Acceptance criteria for each metric are agreed in writing.

Where should we start if we are unsure?

Take the free Data Warehouse Readiness Checklist first; it tells you which gaps to close before implementation.

What we need from you

  • A business owner for the key metrics and a technical lead
  • Read-only access to the source systems in scope
  • Existing reports or spreadsheets that the business relies on today
  • Known data-quality issues and definitions disputes
  • Time from business users to validate numbers before sign-off

How Gridwise works

Written scope before work starts. Every engagement begins with a written scope, deliverables list and fixed price or monthly fee. Nothing is billed outside that scope without your written approval.

Vendor-neutral advice. Gridwise does not take commissions from hardware, carrier, cloud or software vendors, so recommendations follow your requirements rather than a sales target.

You own the outputs. Designs, configurations, documentation and code produced for you are yours to keep and use with any provider.

Honest about where we are. Gridwise Technology is a newly launched practice. We do not publish testimonials, client logos or case studies, and we will not invent them. What we offer instead is a clear process, written acceptance criteria and documented results for your own environment.

What happens after you apply

Your application goes straight to the Gridwise team, not to a sales queue. Within one business day we reply by email with either a short list of clarifying questions or a proposal for a scoping conversation. If the engagement looks like a fit, we send a written scope that lists the work, the deliverables, the timeline, the fixed price or monthly fee, and the assumptions it depends on. Nothing starts and nothing is billed until you have reviewed and approved that document. If we are not the right partner for what you need, we will say so plainly and, where we can, point you toward a better option.
