High-Speed Communications
Carrier-grade voice and data transport engineered for uptime and call clarity — the circuits, routing, QoS and failover behind phones, contact centres, video and real-time applications.
The problem this solves
Choppy calls and frozen video are usually transport problems, not phone problems: no QoS, asymmetric links, a single carrier, or a firewall rewriting packets. We engineer the path end to end so real-time traffic gets priority and survives a circuit failure.
Real-time traffic is also the first thing to suffer when a link fails over. Many backup circuits are sized for email and web browsing, not for every concurrent call and meeting moving across at once. We size failover paths for the real-time load you actually carry, test them with live calls during agreed windows, and document what users should expect to happen during a switchover so the help desk is not guessing.
Who it is for
- Organizations moving from legacy phone lines to SIP or cloud voice
- Contact centres and dispatch teams where call quality is business-critical
- Businesses with video, VDI or real-time systems that suffer jitter and dropouts
- Sites with a single internet path and no voice failover
Not the right fit if
- You only need to pick a phone handset
- You want a phone system resold without transport engineering
What is included — scope of work
Transport assessment
Circuit inventory, path testing for latency, jitter and loss, and review of current voice and video platforms.
Carrier & circuit plan
Diverse-path recommendations, bandwidth sizing for concurrent calls and video, and carrier option comparison.
QoS & traffic policy
End-to-end QoS marking and queuing across LAN, WAN and firewall.
SIP & voice transport
SIP trunk or cloud voice connectivity, firewall/SBC configuration and number porting coordination.
Failover design
Automatic failover between circuits with tested call survivability.
Validation
Call quality testing and before/after measurements.
Deliverables
- Transport assessment with measured jitter, latency and loss
- Carrier and circuit recommendation
- QoS policy and configuration
- Voice transport configuration (SIP/SBC/firewall)
- Failover test results
- Before/after quality report and runbook

What affects the price
The $9,500 fee covers engineering for up to two sites. Carrier circuits, voice platform subscriptions and hardware are billed by those providers. Additional sites or contact-centre integrations are quoted before work starts. See all Network & Infrastructure Services.
Frequently asked questions
Do you sell phone service?
No. We are platform-neutral and engineer the transport for whichever voice or video platform you choose.
Will number porting interrupt service?
Porting is scheduled with your carrier and planned to minimise disruption; we coordinate the timing with you.
How do you measure improvement?
With the same jitter, latency and loss tests before and after, reported side by side.
Can I talk to past clients?
Gridwise is a newly launched practice and does not publish client references. The before/after measurements in your own report are the proof point.
What about ongoing support?
Data Network Services can monitor circuits and call quality monthly.
What we need from you
- A named technical contact with authority to approve changes
- Current network diagrams, device inventory or whatever documentation exists, however incomplete
- Read-only access to network devices and monitoring tools during discovery
- Carrier and circuit contract details, including renewal dates
- Agreed change windows for any work that touches production
How Gridwise works
Written scope before work starts. Every engagement begins with a written scope, deliverables list and fixed price or monthly fee. Nothing is billed outside that scope without your written approval.
Vendor-neutral advice. Gridwise does not take commissions from hardware, carrier, cloud or software vendors, so recommendations follow your requirements rather than a sales target.
You own the outputs. Designs, configurations, documentation and code produced for you are yours to keep and use with any provider.
Honest about where we are. Gridwise Technology is a newly launched practice. We do not publish testimonials, client logos or case studies, and we will not invent them. What we offer instead is a clear process, written acceptance criteria and documented results for your own environment.
What happens after you apply
Your application goes straight to the Gridwise team, not to a sales queue. Within one business day we reply by email with either a short list of clarifying questions or a proposal for a scoping conversation. If the engagement looks like a fit, we send a written scope that lists the work, the deliverables, the timeline, the fixed price or monthly fee, and the assumptions it depends on. Nothing starts and nothing is billed until you have reviewed and approved that document. If we are not the right partner for what you need, we will say so plainly and, where we can, point you toward a better option.
