The problem this solves

FedRAMP is a long, document-heavy process, and most of the cost comes from discovering gaps late. This program front-loads the hard decisions — authorization boundary, impact level and infrastructure design — so the documentation and the environment match before an assessor ever looks at them. We are a readiness and authorization-support advisor: the 3PAO assesses, and the agency or PMO authorizes.

Who it is for

  • SaaS and cloud providers pursuing federal or public-sector customers
  • Teams that have been asked about FedRAMP status in a procurement
  • Providers with an agency sponsor who need to prepare for a 3PAO assessment
  • Organizations already authorized that need continuous monitoring support

Not the right fit if

  • You expect a consultant to 'certify' you (no consultant can; a 3PAO assesses and the agency or PMO authorizes)
  • You have no realistic federal sales pipeline yet

How it works

  1. Readiness

Phase 1: boundary, categorization, gap assessment and design.
  2. Build & document

Phase 2: implement controls and complete documentation.
  3. Assess

    3PAO assessment with our coordination.
  4. Authorize

Agency or PMO review and decision.
  5. Monitor

    Phase 3: continuous monitoring retainer.

How pricing works

Phase 1 is a fixed $12,500. Phase 2 is scoped from Phase 1 findings and starts from $50,000. Continuous monitoring is $4,500/mo. 3PAO assessment fees and cloud consumption are paid directly to those parties. Phases 1 and 2 are invoiced, not charged by card.

Frequently asked questions

Can you guarantee an authorization?

No one can honestly guarantee it. Authorization decisions belong to the agency or the FedRAMP PMO. We prepare you to give the assessment the best chance.

Are you a 3PAO?

No. We are an advisor. Using a separate, accredited 3PAO is a requirement and keeps the assessment independent.

How long does it take?

Phase 1 typically takes four to eight weeks. Full authorization timelines vary widely and depend on readiness and sponsor schedules.

Have you taken other providers through FedRAMP?

Gridwise is a newly launched practice and does not publish client references or case studies. Our Phase 1 deliverables are concrete and yours to keep regardless of what you decide next.

Do we have to buy all three phases?

No. Each phase is a separate decision.

What we need from you

  • An executive sponsor and a named technical lead
  • Read-only access to cloud accounts, billing exports and identity configuration
  • An application and infrastructure inventory, even if partial
  • Known compliance, data-residency or contractual requirements
  • Agreed change windows for any work that touches production

How Gridwise works

Written scope before work starts. Every engagement begins with a written scope, deliverables list and fixed price or monthly fee. Nothing is billed outside that scope without your written approval.

Vendor-neutral advice. Gridwise does not take commissions from hardware, carrier, cloud or software vendors, so recommendations follow your requirements rather than a sales target.

You own the outputs. Designs, configurations, documentation and code produced for you are yours to keep and use with any provider.

Honest about where we are. Gridwise Technology is a newly launched practice. We do not publish testimonials, client logos or case studies, and we will not invent them. What we offer instead is a clear process, written acceptance criteria and documented results for your own environment.

What happens after you apply

Your application goes straight to the Gridwise team, not to a sales queue. Within one business day we reply by email with either a short list of clarifying questions or a proposal for a scoping conversation. If the engagement looks like a fit, we send a written scope that lists the work, the deliverables, the timeline, the fixed price or monthly fee, and the assumptions it depends on. Nothing starts and nothing is billed until you have reviewed and approved that document. If we are not the right partner for what you need, we will say so plainly and, where we can, point you toward a better option.
